Important Travel Tips

  • Ensure you have all the documentations needed for travel.
  • Be sure to have some cash with you. Some shops or restaurants do not accept credit cards.
  • Grab and Maxim are available around Senai, Kulai and Skudai.
  • Do not forget to bring along your IC / passport.

Currency

  • Ringgit Malaysia (RM).
  • International delegates are required to bring a sensible amount of cash and to exchange their currency before arriving in Johor.

Wi-Fi Availability

  • Wi-Fi is available in the hotel.
  • Signal strength may vary depending on your location within the hotel.
  • International delegates are encouraged to purchase a local SIM card or e-SIM upon arrival to stay connected throughout their visit in Malaysia.

Malaysia Type G power socket
  • Outlet type: Type G.
  • Operates on 240V supply voltage and 50 Hz.

Arrival & Check-in

11:00 AM

Proceed to the registration booth to register with the Academy team. You will collect your name tag and receive a luggage tag.

1:00 PM

If you arrive after 1:00 PM, proceed directly to the Event Hall and look for the organising team to tag your luggage.

3:00 PM

Hotel rooms are available for check-in from 3:00 PM onwards, subject to availability. Tagged luggage will be delivered to your assigned room later.

Please show your Roadmap QR code during registration and ensure that the committee scans it before you leave the booth.

What to Take Note

  1. Full participation is required.
  2. Be punctual.
  3. Be attentive and actively ask questions.
  4. Read all instructions or announcements.
  5. Follow the designated dress code.
  6. Step out of your comfort zone and meet new friends.
02 / Checklist

What to Bring

  • Formal wear, Academy attire, official JCI / National Organisation / Local Organisation shirts, and sports attire for outdoor activities.
  • Avoid excessively short dresses or shorts. Flip-flops are strictly prohibited in class.
  • Local Organisation flag.
  • Sneakers or sports shoes.
  • Water bottle - Go Green!
  • Business cards.
  • Jacket or blazer.
  • Travel aids such as medicine or vitamins.
  • Personal hygiene items / toiletries.
  • A happy face and an open heart.
  • Gifts for teammates or anyone you would like to appreciate after the Academy.
